Reading C-card scheme

C-Card Scheme

What is it?

C-Card is a totally free service offering condoms and sexual health information and is available to  young people aged  13 - 19 living in Reading.

Make sure that you know the low-down on your choices!

If you want more information on choices or to talk about not being sure if you are ready to embark on the next step of becoming sexually active, you can always talk to a C-Card Provider. We are not just here for condoms but to help you make informed choices by helping you to weigh up your options. You should never feel pressured into sex,  it is always....Your Body Your Choice!

How does it work?

1. Register for a C-Card - as part of registration you will have a confidential chat with a trained C-Card provider, who will;

  • explain the scheme
  • teach you the best way to use condoms and how to be confident to talk about things with your intended sexual partner
  • answer any questions you might have
  • be able to give you information on where to obtain other contraception and Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing

2. . We will ask you a few questions just to make sure you understand how to be sexually healthy and that you are making an informed choice

3. We won’t tell your parents/guardians or doctor that you have been to see us unless we are worried you may be in danger or endanger someone else.

4. When you have completed the registration you will be given Condoms and Lube so you can be sexually healthy

To get more Free Condoms you just need to show your card where you see the sign
